In Lynda's Own Words

"I have been very fortunate to have had wonderful teachers throughout my life. I loved my lessons as a child and strive to make lessons enjoyable for my students. With over forty years of experience as a music educator, I have an extensive teaching history including public and private schools, summer camps, children's theater, and private piano and accordion lessons for children and adults.

Over the years I have performed in concert bands, woodwind ensembles, accordion orchestras, and choruses. I'm a member of the Accordion Teachers Guild Intenational, and have received five Massachusetts Arts Council grants. The award I am most proud of is the North Attleboro Cultural Council's McKeil Award for contributions to the local arts community.

In 2014, I founded the Keys! Music Challenge for Kids, an educational and instructional festival and competition for music students. The first event, a piano challenge, was held May 3, 2014.

When I'm not teaching kids to make music, I can often be seen and hear peforming accordion around New England playing with the ensembles such as the Jolly Kopperschmidts or the Lustige Streifenhornchens German Oktoberfest Band. "
