Lynda Fish graduated with honors from Rhode Island College with a degree in Music Education. While in school, she was awarded a RIC special talent scholarship for excellence in performance. She won state and national awards in both solo and ensemble competitions, and is a virtuoso accordionist as well as an accomplished pianist.
Lynda has an extensive teaching history including public and private schools, summer camps, and children's theater. She received two Massachusetts Arts Council grants and was awarded the North Attleboro Cultural Council's McKeil Award for her contributions to the local arts community. She has been teaching enthusiastic boys and girls how to play the piano for more than thirty five years.
In 2014, Lynda founded the Keys! Music Challenge for Kids, an educational and instructional competition for music students. The first event, a piano challenge, was held May 3, 2014.
When Lynda is not teaching kids to play the piano she is often seen around New England playing with the "Jolly Kopperschmidts" German Oktoberfest Band. She has also performed as soloist with the Middlesex Concert Band, and was featured at the Boston Festival of Bands at Fanieul Hall in 2014.
